Old School Twin
The wing-swallow Old School Twin has fuller rails than most current-day shortboards and a beak nose to keep a forward thickness flow. The boards have “foiled thickness” with “lofted” rails that crown into a fairly flat deck line. Bottom contours of single-to-double concaves are shaped into vee panels. With the wide point set six-inches forward of center (on the 6’2”), the Old School Twin has a graduated curve in the outline ahead of the wings, which produces a very “drivey” feel. The vee and concaves keep the turning lively: whip-sharp and fast. Old School Twins are designed to be ridden with full-rail engagement through turns, the surfer weighting the entire rail line for a “power-flow” style of surfing. Available in sizes 5’7” to 6’2” and best ordered roughly at the surfer’s height, or one- to two-inches shorter.
